The computer scientist with a doctorate and habilitation is head of the chair for "Security in Computer Science" at the Technical University of Munich and head of the Fraunhofer Institute for Applied and Integrated Security (AISEC) in Garching/Munich. Among others, she is a member of the board of directors of Bundesdruckerei, Trumpf GmbH and BWI GmbH.
As a member of important scientific and industrial committees, she advises companies, trade associations and government authorities at national and international level on the development of research strategies and the implementation of security concepts.
Her work has been honoured with awards such as "Germany's Digital Minds" from the Federal Ministry of Education and Research as well as the Bavarian Order of Merit in 2021.
