Continuing education is essential to producing quality products, running operations efficiently and correctly, staying current, and training existing employees, new hires, and career changers. Especially in an era of skills shortages and rapidly changing technology, regular training is a must.
Training Must Be Tailored to Individual Needs
Today, however, the main question is how employees can train themselves and how employers can train their employees. Training should be tailored to different needs. Depending on the individual situation, the course location, time frame, personal aptitude, course duration, course level, and many other factors play a role. With its wide range of courses on plastics and their processing, SKZ offers participants the opportunity to acquire knowledge tailored to their individual situation and everyday working life.
Classroom Courses
Classroom courses are the classic form of training. The courses take place at the SKZ headquarters in Würzburg and at the locations in Halle, Horb, Peine and Selb. There are also various regional bases for welding courses (e.g. Norderstedt and Kirchseeon). SKZ operates its own technical centers at all training locations for the practical training courses. The courses are taught by instructors who are true experts with many years of professional experience. Face-to-face training is still irreplaceable because of the direct exchange with other participants. One-day and multi-day courses are available, depending on the scope of the course. Live Online Courses
Live online courses are ideal for those who want to avoid travel time and be flexible with their location. Participants can take the course from the comfort of their own home, office or business trip. The Live online courses are broadcast from the SKZ studio, so you can interact with the experts and get your questions answered directly. Learn more about Live Online Courses
E-Learning Courses
E-learning courses are ideal for those who want maximum flexibility in terms of location and time. Learning content can be completed around the clock. Learners can study at their own pace. Thanks to multimedia elements such as videos, quizzes and animations, learning effects can be achieved quickly. On request, the Plastics Center can also create company-specific e-learning courses with individually tailored learning content. The courses are available in English and German. More about e-learning
In-House Training
In-house training is the best choice when multiple employees need to be trained at the same time, or when customized content is required and open communication without potential competitors present is desired. In-house training courses can be held at the location of your choice and are tailored to the specific needs, wishes and goals of each company. In addition to training in German, SKZ also offers training in English and with interpreters in other languages. More information about in-house training
Qualifications & Masters
SKZ qualifications consist of a number of compulsory modules and a relevant elective module, culminating in a final examination. The SKZ offers a variety of qualifications that can pave the way for further professional development. In cooperation with the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK), further training courses are offered in Würzburg and other locations to become a foreman in the plastics and rubber industry and a technician specializing in additive manufacturing.
