For the second construction stage of its new Works III, which will accommodate the finishing line, KEMPER selected AMOVA as supplier of the logistics systems including warehouse management system (WMS), driverless transport system with pre-storage area, turnstiles, intermediate storage area, binding and packaging system as well as high-bay store for pallets. With the aid of a logistics study, AMOVA could accompany already the first step of the implementation. The overall concept was developed by a project group from KEMPER in cooperation with AMOVA. The project focused on the material flow of starting and finished material, packaging tasks for a variety of final products as well as on the storage of starting, finished and packaging material.
Particular attention was paid to identifying optimization approaches taking into account economic aspects such as return on investment (ROI) and future-expected increases in production.
