Christoph Klein, Vorstand der Payment Network AG meint dazu:
"Der Schritt nach Österreich ist sehr wichtig für die Sofortüberweisung. Wir haben damit nicht nur gezeigt, dass das System grundsätzlich auch international funktionieren kann. Die Sofortüberweisung ist jetzt überhaupt das einzige Direkt-Überweisungsverfahren, das in mehreren Ländern verfügbar ist.
In der langen Entwicklungszeit, die für das Aufschalten von Österreich notwendig war, haben wir außerdem auch unser System im Hinblick auf die Internationalisierung von Grund auf neu programmiert. Das bedeutet, dass weitere europäische Länder nun in einem schnelleren Rhythmus aufgeschaltet werden. Wir sind deshalb zuversichtlich, dass wir unseren ambitionierten Plan realisieren werden, bis Ende 2008 in den wichtigsten europäischen Ländern die Sofortüberweisung anbieten zu können."
