ARM-Kompatibilität erweitert Anwendungsspektrum der edgeConnector-Produkte von Softing Industrial

Die neue Version 3.50 der edgeConnector-Produkte von Softing Industrial ist jetzt kompatibel mit ARM-Prozessoren. Damit werden die Anwendungsmöglichkeiten deutlich erweitert.

Die Docker-basierten Softwaremodule der edgeConnector Produktfamilie ermöglichen den Zugriff auf Prozessdaten in SIMATIC S7-, SINUMERIK 840D- und Modbus TCP-Steuerungen.

Die Version 3.50 von edgeConnector Siemens, edgeConnector 804D und edgeConnector Modbus ist jetzt mit der 64-Bit-Version von ARM-Prozessoren (Advanced RISC Machines) kompatibel. Dies erweitert die Anwendungsmöglichkeiten auf Geräte wie Raspberry Pi, Cisco IR1101, Orange Pi 5 oder RevPi Connect.

Durch die Verwendung der Containertechnologie sind die edgeConnectoren sehr schnell einsatzbereit. Sie werden auf Standard-Hardware betrieben und können auf einfache Weise zentral verwaltet werden. Dies bietet Anwendern eine unkomplizierte und sichere Möglichkeit, Daten aus der Produktion in innovative und flexible Industrial IoT-Lösungen zu integrieren. Alle edgeConnector-Produkte unterstützen modernste Sicherheitsstandards wie SSL/TLS, X.509-Zertifikate, Authentifizierung und Datenverschlüsselung. Sie können lokal über eine integrierte Weboberfläche konfiguriert oder über eine REST-API remote verwaltet werden. Die einzelnen edgeConnector-Produkte stehen auf Online-Plattformen wie Docker Hub oder Microsoft Azure Marketplace zum Download und als kostenlose Testversion zur Verfügung.
