(PresseBox) (Kirchheim/Teck, )
ATTO is known for its smart solutions in the field of storage, network connectivity and infrastructure. With the sophisticated ATTO ThunderLink 3128, any SAS installation can now dock to the fast Thunderbolt 3 port and benefit from its performance.

Keyfeatures
  • 12 Gbit/s SAS/SATA support
  • Auto Negotiation between 12, 6 and 3 Gbps SAS/SATA devices
  • Up to 3500 drives can be addressed via expanders
  • Backward compatible with Thunderbolt 2
  • Operating system support for macOS and Windows
  • Passive cooling (no fan)
  • Highest achievable Mbps and IOPS performance
  • Low energy consumption
  • Superior system performance with the latest SAS/SATA technology
  • Up to 2750 MB/s total throughput
  • Advanced Data Streaming (ADS) Technology Latency Management Technology

ATTO ThunderLink 3128 is the latest member of the ATTO Thunderbolt adapter family. It is the new spearhead in a comprehensive portfolio of ThunderLink adapters that offer solutions for Fibre Channel and Ethernet connectivity in addition to SAS to TB3 and TB2. ThunderLink adapters offer creatives and technicians a fast and low-latency solution designed for performance-hungry applications. Among other things, this is achieved through Advanced Data Streaming technology.
It manages latency times by avoiding gaps in the data stream, ensuring high consistent performance.

Tom Kolniak, Senior Director Marketing at ATTO Technology, is delighted with the new bridge: "The Thunderbolt 3 to 12 Gbit/s SAS/SATA adapter expands the industry's largest portfolio of Thunderbolt adapters for storage and network connections."

In addition to the latest TB3 platforms, ThunderLink 3128 has also been tested with popular media and entertainment applications, hard drives, SSDs and the latest LTO-8 tape drives. Connecting a Thunderbolt 3 to 12 Gbit/s SAS/SATA adapters with LTO 8 tape drives is an easy and cost-effective way to store, archive and transport large volumes of content. New technologies such as UHD/4K resolution, HDR high contrast or 3D perspective can be used to overcome these challenges at low cost.

Basically, a ThunderLink adapter helps companies achieve storage ROI faster by increasing storage capacity during operation. An increasingly important factor in many industries.
