STEGO's shareholders Isidor Gloning, Werner Schmid and Elmar Mangold, are pleased to promote the company’s growth at its headquarters in order to meet the challenges of the future. The owners are extremely satisfied with the company's development. STEGO has expanded considerably in recent years. The new logistics building marks a milestone in the company's history and is an investment for further growth over the next ten years.
The expansion of the company headquarters in Schwaebisch Hall, where product development and production will continue, is based on a three-stage plan. The construction of the new warehouse and logistics facility is only the first step, which also entails the conversion of the existing production and warehouse. In addition, a high-tech, robot-guided automatic warehouse as well as further structural changes in the office and staff rooms are planned in subsequent steps.
Construction began in September 2016. The new warehouse and logistics building features a height of 15 meters and a floor area of 1400 m2 (20 x 70 m) on two floors and will be completed by mid-2017. Managing Director Elmar Mangold outlines the strategic development of the company "STEGO has steadily expanded its position in the market. The modernisation of our production in the last two years, combined with the expansion of our headquarters, gives us room for further successful development".
The new extension building with its four truck loading ramps is adjacent to the existing production hall, which was last enlarged in 2007. Managing Director Isidor Gloning notes "the improved conditions for loading and unloading, as well as the targeted optimisation of the access routes to our company will lead to enormous time savings". Currently the shell is being built. After completion of this phase work on the interior construction will start. In conjunction the design of the outdoor facilities with additional parking spaces for currently 100 employees will commence. Even the demand for additional bicycle parking space has increased: STEGO offers its employees the fringe benefit of bicycle leasing. For the future STEGO management expects its demand for specialist staff to rise in the coming years.
Since its establishment in 1980, STEGO Elektrotechnik GmbH has been developing, producing and distributing a constantly growing range of products for the protection of electrical and electronic components in industrial applications. One example of this is the use of outdoor parking ticket and ATM’s. Enclosure & panel heaters, filter fans, LED lamps, thermostats, hygrostats and control cabinet accessories ensure optimised climatic conditions in a wide range of environments and ensure the long-term reliable operation of sensitive components. The portfolio includes standard products that are sold into many industries and countries, as well as equipment developed for specific industries. These include the new Ex Heaters and Ex Thermostats for hazardous environments, which will be presented at the Hanover Fair in April 2017.
STEGO has a total of 12 locations including Europe, Russia, the USA and Brazil and exports worldwide into 60 countries. The export share is about 75 percent. A large proportion of STEGO products are exported to the countries in which STEGO has subsidiaries. In addition, the Asian and Arabian markets are of great importance; these are served directly by STEGO headquarters. For further information, please visit www.stego.de
