Hintergrund PeopleSoft:
Laut einem Bericht der Computerwoche stehen bei Oracle/PeopleSoft Entlassungen an. Eine Woche, nachdem die Übernahme PeopleSofts offiziell für abgeschlossen erklärt wurde, sollen zahlreiche PeopleSoft-Mitarbeiter ihre Kündigung erhalten. Experten vermuten, dass bis zu 6000 der insgesamt knapp 12 000 Mitarbeiter gehen müssen.

Dafür wurde das Unternehmen im Sommer 2007 und 2008 mit dem EMEA Oracle Accelerate Award ausgezeichnet.
