Compact, Safe, Configurable Motion Solutions Make Room for Mobile Robotics Innovation at LogiMAT 2025

Hall: 3 Stand number: 3C21

(PresseBox) (Stuttgart, Germany, )
Hall: 3 Stand number: 3C21 STXI Motion, a global leader in motion control and servo solutions, will unveil its latest innovations at LogiMAT 2025. This year, STXI will showcase its latest developments and extended portfolio designed for low-voltage and mobile applications. Visit us at Hall 3, Stand 3C21 to discover how our compact, integrated solutions are driving innovation in mobile platforms.

Key products on display include:
  1. The New MOT Wheel Hub Gear Motor – Engineered for Efficiency of Mobile Robots
Designed for AGV and AMR traction drives, the new wheel hub gear motor features an optimized bearing design, supporting higher radial loads and enhancing contact pressure between the wheel and the ground. This leads to shorter braking distances and higher vehicle speeds, improving both safety and efficiency. The fully integrated gearbox maximizes radial space while minimizing the overall length, resulting in a compact and efficient design. Additionally, the brake is easily accessible for quick replacements, ensuring minimal downtime and high system availability.
  1. ZED 65: Safe and Compact High-Power Servo Drive
STXI expands its ZED low-voltage servo drive family with the ZED 65, a compact high-power servo drive that supports EtherCAT and CANopen communication protocols. With continuous/peak current ratings of 45/135 A and operation at 48 VDC, this drive is ideal for space-constrained applications. The ZED 65 integrates functional safety with Safe Torque Off (STO), and an optional Safe Motion Module for advanced safety features, all within a highly efficient power density design.

3. Safe Motion: Integrated Functional Safety for Safe Operation

STXI offers the optional Safe Motion Module across the TIM Integrated Motors and ZED 65 drive, providing a full suite of drive-based safety functions. In addition to Safe Torque Off, these include, Safe Stop 1, Safet Stop 2, Safe Brake Control, Safe Operating Stop, Safely-limited Speed, Safe Brake Test, Safe Speed Monitor, Safe Speed Monitor, and Safe Direction - all in compliance with IEC 61800-5-2 standards. Communication through Safety over EtherCAT (FSoE) reduces complexity by using a single cable, making this solution ideal for mobile robots and other space-constrained applications.
  1. Configurable Gear and Motor Options – Flexible Solutions for Mobile Applications
STXI Motion introduces adaptable gear and motor configurations for its TIM Integrated Motors and MOT Servo Motors Series, offering optimal solutions for a wide range of low-voltage and mobile applications.

These IP54-rated motors provide power options from 200-800 W, with rated torque between 6.4-64 Nm and speeds up to 3000 rpm. Built to handle high radial and axial forces, they offer customizable configurations, including various gear ratios, encoders, and motor brakes.

The TIM series, available with 60mm or 80mm flanges, features integrated servo electronics that support flexible connector mounting options—front, back, or top—along with CANopen and EtherCAT communication protocols. Their compact, space-saving design is perfect for applications like AGVs or long multi-axis machines, where decentralized setups not only streamline installation but also eliminate the need for bulky control cabinets, maximizing efficiency in limited spaces. In addition to the MOT series, the TIM motors can also be configured with different gear options to meet specific application requirements.
