Laut Gartner Group wurden allein in der ersten Jahreshälfte weltweit über 34 Millionen Smartphones verkauft. Für das laufende Jahr prognostizieren die Marktforscher ein Wachstum von 66 Prozent, und bis Ende Dezember soll der Absatz sogar auf 81 Millionen steigen.
Mit dem Mobile Manager bietet Synchronica Unternehmen und Netzbetreibern eine robuste Software zum Gerätemanagement Over the Air (OTA). Den Mobile Manager gibt es wahlweise auch mit Synchronica Scream. Nach einem gemeldeten Gerätediebstahl oder Geräteverlust wird über Funk ein ohrenbetäubender Ton als WAV-Datei an das Handy gesendet. Auch gegen die zunehmende Gefahr durch Viren ist der Mobile Manager bestens gerüstet. Bei einer Viruswarnung wird der notwendige Sicherheitspatch schnell über Funk an die bedrohten Geräte geschickt und diese so vor dem Befall geschützt.
Die Software lässt sich nahtlos und ohne größeren Aufwand in bestehenden Sicherheitsstandards einfügen und ist einfach zu bedienen. Aus nur einer einzigen Konsole kann die IT-Abteilung über Funk neue Programme, Updates oder Konfigurationsparameter an mehrere tausend Smartphones verschicken. Nach nicht einmal zehn Minuten sind die Geräte wieder betriebsbereit.
Der Mobile Manager richtet sich an Unternehmen aller Größen und an Mobilfunkbetreiber, die ihren Kunden das Management der Smartphones als gehosteten Service anbieten möchten.
