TAMPOPRINT presents a groundbreaking concept study for the K-2019 based on the principle of a modular system of standardized components. It is a linear automation cell concept in which several printing processes can run simultaneously. Throughout the entire development, the focus was always on the application. The aim of the concept is to achieve the highest adaptability of a linear pad printing automation to the product application. Such a combination of above-average flexibility during a printing process and linear pad printing automation did not exist until now.
Concept study: linear automation cell
The prototype exhibited at K-2019 consists of three cells arranged in rows with different configurations. They are equipped with part recognition, pre- and posttreatment, laser and 4 printing units, which are driven in different ways. On this automation three printing processes with different cycle times run simultaneously. The individual cells are programmed via a central control system. The heart of this automation system is the innovative carrier transport system. As the name suggests, the carriers transport the workpiece holders with the print parts through the print job. The carriers are equipped with RFID chips, which are used to assign and control the print jobs. The concept can be subsequently expanded to 14 cells.
"We have succeeded in providing a new platform for the versatile and increasingly demanding tampon printing applications. Consistent standardization ensures a short response time and a high level of quality," says Stephan Berger, Head of Development at TAMPOPRINT.
A further highlight is the CONTINUOUS CIRCULAR, enlarged to three printing units. With the patented rotary pad printing process for continuous printing of cylindrical parts, the printing process is much more effective and productive. In addition, the uninterrupted continuous printing process ensures increased process control.
TAMPOPRINT also sets new standards when it comes to laser technology. The new flatbed cliché laser CLICHE LASER Xi was developed in cooperation with the Swiss partner Lüscher Technologies AG. The laser, specially designed for the requirements of pad printing, enables high-resolution imaging of INTAGLIO laser clichés.
In addition to the innovations, the proven MODULE ONE series will also be on show. It offers a universally applicable modular solution with short delivery times and clear price conditions. There will also be something for customers from the beverage industry: The MOF-PROMO HP 200: A high-power laser for decorating closure caps with the specially developed laser software ALFALAS LASER SUITE.
