The adhesive in a tube was invented by the pharmacist August Fischer in Bühl / Baden in 1932. He named this world-wide first, crystal clear adhesive based on syn-thetic resin "UHU – the all-purpose glue", since bird names such as pelican, marabou or swan were fashionable at the time for office supplies. His marketing for the UHU was far ahead of its time. He supplied free samples of the all-purpose adhesive to schools and school kids countrywide, already 80 years ago.
Today, UHU is available in more than 120 countries around the globe and is one of the best-known and valued adhesive brands and is synonymous for gluing as such. Through constant development of innovative products and advanced adhesive technologies, an extensive adhesive range emerged which has been leading in quality and performance for more than 80 years. Recently, the UHU company introduced the UHU stic ReNATURE to the market, which includes a container made of renewable raw materials. The utilised bio-based material was developed by TECNARO and adapted to meet the specific demands of UHU. The innovative UHU stic ReNATURE, based on renewable raw materials, saves resources, reduces CO2 emissions, is 100% recyclable and of course "Made in Germany". In addition, UHU also refrains from using fossil raw materials in the adhesive mass of the stic ReNATURE, which thereby consists of 98% natural ingredients (incl. water). The unique screw cap also protects the glue from drying up which ensures a long service life.
The sustainable UHU stic ReNATURE is also unwilling to compromise concerning its core competence. For it glues quickly, strongly and permanently, spreads easily, is highly efficient and of course is washable in cold water. The ideal product for the household, school and office.
