Zyklische Weiterentwicklung: der neue Fleet-PC der mobileObjects AG

Im Interview mit Telematik.TV erklärte Frank Biermann, Vorstand Vertrieb und Marketing der mobileObjects AG, die in diesem Jahr durchgeführten Verbesserungen des Fleet-PC. Auch der mobileServiceManager geht in neuer Version an den Start.

Anlässlich der IAA Nutzfahrzeuge ist es bei der mobileObjects AG üblich geworden, dem Publikum Neuerungen und Verbesserungen vorzustellen. Im Interview mit TTV-Moderator Udo Brand stellte Frank Biermann, Vorstand Vertrieb und Marketing der mobileObjects AG, die Neuigkeiten im Jahr 2012 vor.

So spendiert das Unternehmen dem hauseigenen Fleet-PC eine Speichererweiterung. Damit besitzt der Fleet-PC 512 MB Arbeitsspeicher und eine 20 GB Festplatte.

Weitere Neuerung ist ein Modul, welches den Remote-Download von Massenspeichern ermöglicht. Dies versetzt Unternehmen in die Lage, Massenspeicher oder die Fahrerkarte aus der Ferne automatisch und nach eigenem Zeitplan auszulesen und zu archivieren. Die Daten werden hierbei verschlüsselt über das GPRS-Netz übertragen.

Genau so automatisch wie der Remote-Download, funktioniert übrigens auch die Aktualisierung der Firmware, welches die Telematik-Lösung im Unternehmen stets auf dem neuestem Stand hält.

Im aktuellesten Anwendertest der mobileObjects AG bei der Dingwerth Logistik GmbH war der Fleet-PC Bestandteil der erfolgreichen Lösung.
