Effizienzsteigerung aufgrund der Herausforderungen globaler Märkte erfordern nicht nur Geschäftsprozessoptimierung, sondern auch abgesicherte Informationen. Die Werte eines Unternehmens sind neben Personal, Infrastruktur und Kapital dessen Informationen. Das Management der Informationssicherheit ist Leitungsverantwortung.

Prozesse für Sicherheitsmaßnahmen und Schadensbegrenzung müssen insbesondere unter Kostengesichtspunkten so gestaltet sein, dass ein optimales Schutzniveau im Verhältnis zum Gesamtwert der zu schützenden Informationen gegeben ist.

Mit einem jetzt veröffentlichten Praxisleitfaden für Manager stellt der Bundesverband IT-Sicherheit e.V. (TeleTrusT) eine praxisgerechte Anleitung für das Management der Informationssicherheit zur Verfügung. Ausgerichtet am Ziel ganzheitlicher und nachhaltiger Informationssicherheit werden insbesondere die Themen Compliance-, Risikomanagement und Business Continuity Management behandelt.

Die Publikation wurde in der TeleTrusT-Arbeitsgruppe "Informationssicherheitsmanagement" erarbeitet und ist unter http://www.teletrust.de/... verfügbar.

Hauptsitz des Verbandes ist Berlin. TeleTrusT ist Mitglied des European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI).
