20 co-exhibitors and nearly 170 square meters: The German joint booth at the biggest IT-Security Conference in the world has grown rapidly under the coordination of TeleTrusT Deutschland e.V. Compared to 2008 the booth size of the "German Pavilion" tripled and offers to the leading German companies of the branch an attractive information center used by 16 companies and a joint booth for 4 further exhibitors. After 14 exhibitors in 2008, the German presence in April 2009 will be the biggest joint activity of the branch on the North American market so far.
"IT Security made in Germany has become a trademark", says Professor Reimer, who supervises the project for TeleTrusT. "This label having been visible at the most important IT-Security exhibition of the world for 9 years is a real crowd puller." Accompanying events jointly organized by the partners contribute to this, such as a German-American "Round Table" and an evening reception in the German Consulate General in San Francisco. This year the topic "Information Leakage Prevention" will be discussed in the Round Table, during which German and American experts cover current issues in Information Rights Management and Digital Rights Management. The organizers again expect more than 60 participants.
"The participation in the RSA-Conference opened a display window for German IT-Security competence", says Dr. Bernhard Rohleder, CEO of the inter-trade organization BITKOM. "The sector IT-Security will grow superiorly than the market. Furthermore IT-Security is increasingly emphasized during the development and implementation of standard and individual software." According to Rohleder important impulses, especially in the worldwide economic crisis, emanate from the high-tech-industry in Germany. The growing importance of the branch is reflected by the intensified participation of German companies in the RSA-Conference.
