Today, the transfer process was completed. The Chinese laboratories in Fuzhou and Hainan, as well as the laboratory in Kaohsiung/Taiwan will strengthen the existing laboratory network of the Tentamus Group in Greater China significantly. Local authorities have approved or registered the transaction, thereby fulfilling legal closing requirements. Thus the previous TÜV Rheinland laboratories will in the future trade under the names, Tentamus Analytics Hainan Co. Ltd., Tentamus Mandy Analytics Fuzhou Co. Ltd and Tentamus Analytics Taiwan Co. Ltd.
In addition, the TÜV Rheinland food auditing and classification business has been bundled in its company Luxcontrol GmbH out of Hamburg, Germany, which was acquired by the Tentamus Group already in July 1st.
Ralf Scheller, Board Member of TÜV Rheinland AG, refers to the frictionless and partner-like takeover process. “The decision to step out of the food business was not easy. However, with Tentamus and its structure and network of consisting of highly flexible and specialized labs, we found the perfect home for our well-established food labs in China and Taiwan. Tentamus was acting openly and entrepreneurial throughout the entire process”
The merger of the laboratories of TÜV Rheinland with the Tentamus Group in China and Taiwan opens up an almost completely geographical coverage of one of the most important Asian markets.
“With the business development of the food business of TÜV Rheinland, we took a huge step towards the advancement of our globalization strategy. The common understanding of the quality of services has simplified the process a lot.” says Dr. Jochen Zoller, founder and CEO of the Tentamus Group. “Due to the steady growth of the food industry and the increasingly global approach of our clients, we are well-positioned with the transaction to fulfil our customer’s testing and inspection needs and of course to strengthen their global chain of custody with our support.”
