Our world is one full of decisions – and one full of contradictions, in which companies have to make new choices every day. Profit or sustainability? Technology or humanity? Our daily lives are characterized by such either-or decisions. At TGW Logistics, we believe in a different approach: namely, in a solution that brings everything together and combines the best of two worlds. Customers should not have to choose, but rather should receive the whole.
“It is not about choosing between two options. It is about reaching the peak by uniting apparent contradictions,” explains Henry Puhl, CEO of TGW Logistics. “At TGW Logistics, we create solutions that do not require compromise. Our systems combine speed and precision – they provide high performance today, and are simultaneously ready for the challenges of tomorrow. This attitude is expressed in our new brand presence, which we will present to a large audience for the first time at LogiMAT.”
Robotics as an enabler
This year at the TGW trade fair booth in hall 5 (C21), the focus will lie entirely on robotassisted and mobile automation. The PickCenter RovoFlex employs a highly efficient, intelligent picking robot that constantly improves with every pick thanks to artificial intelligence. The seamless transition between manual and automatic mode guarantees maximum flexibility – not only in daily business, but also during the particularly demanding peak season.
Instead of a drag chain, the innovative pocket sorter SmartPocket relies on mobile robots that move autonomously along a network of intersecting rails to reach their destinations – without any human intervention. While conventional pocket sorters are only scalable in large increments and leave a lot of potential unexploited outside of peak times, the SmartPocket technology is tailored to actual needs.
Mobile robots for autonomous transport
The Quba family of mobile robots – arisen from a strategic partnership with the German AGV specialist SAFELOG – are the rapidly scalable, flexibly implementable answer to the demands of tomorrow. They transport pallets, cartons and totes to their destinations reliably and without human intervention.
The owner of TGW Logistics, the TGW Future Private Foundation, will not be overlooked in this comprehensive presentation. By “Focusing on People – Learning and Growing,” the foundation provides the operational framework for TGW Logistics and the charitable projects of TGW Future Wings. In 2004, TGW co-founder Ludwig Szinicz gifted all shares of TGW Logistics to the TGW Future Private Foundation, thus ensuring the future of the warehouse automation specialist for the long term: the technology company cannot be sold, is a stable business partner and a reliable employer. www.tgw-group.com
