10 New GigE Industrial Cameras with Pregius and STARVIS Sensors

The Imaging Source has expanded its 33G-series family of compact, cost-effective GigE industrial cameras

(PresseBox) (Charlotte, NC 28226, )
The Imaging Source, international manufacturer of machine vision cameras and software for industrial imaging, has just announced the immediate availability of ten new GigE color and monochrome industrial cameras featuring Sony’s newest Pregius and STARVIS sensors.

The Imaging Source has expanded its 33G-series family of compact, cost-effective GigE industrial cameras. Ranging from 0.4 MP (max. 300 fps) to 6.4 MP (max. 19 fps) formats, the cameras are equipped with highly-sensitive, low-noise Sony Pregius (global shutter) and STARVIS (rolling shutter) sensors which offer exceptional image quality and color fidelity - with the monochrome models of the series providing excellent NIR sensitivity. The high-performance Pregius and STARVIS sensors outperform older CCD sensors in every respect making them a cost-effective alternative.

The GigE Vision global interface standard ensures compatibility and easy integration with image processing software using the standard. Sharp, distortion-free images, compact form factor (29x29x57 mm) and robust industrial design (with 6-pin Hirose port and C/CS-mount) make these competitively-priced, standard-feature camera models ideally-suited for machine vision tasks in production, inspection, quality assurance and intelligent traffic systems (ITS).

The Imaging Source provides free software tools and SDKs for Windows and Linux platforms: IC Imaging Control SDK; the end-user software IC Capture for image acquisition; IC 3D for 3D stereo depth estimation; IC Measure for on-screen measurement; and IC Barcode, an SDK for 1- and 2D barcode detection.
