18 New USB 3.1 (gen.1) Single-board and Industrial Cameras

New USB3 Vision compliant camera models feature the latest Sony Pregius and STARVIS CMOS sensors with USB 3.1 (gen. 1) reversible Type-C port connection

(PresseBox) (Charlotte, NC 28226, )
The Imaging Source, international manufacturer of machine vision cameras and software for industrial imaging, has just announced the immediate availability of a new series of single-board and industrial cameras. The18 new USB3 Vision compliant camera models feature the latest Sony Pregius and STARVIS CMOS sensors with USB 3.1 (gen. 1) reversible Type-C port connection.

The "37 series" color and monochrome cameras from The Imaging Source offer high frame rates in addition to high dynamic range and brilliant color rendition.

Developed specifically to meet the demands of modern imaging systems, Sony's IMX287 global shutter sensor achieves speeds of max. 539 fps at 0.4 MP, max. 600 fps at VGA, and the IMX273 max. 236 fps at 1.5 MP, max. 600 fps at VGA (lower resolutions allow the frame rates to be increased accordingly). All characteristics which make these cameras ideal for high-speed machine vision tasks such as production automation, quality assurance and inspection.

The board-level cameras' small form factor (30 x 30 x 12 mm) and USB 3 Vision compliance allow for easy integration in applications adhering to the standard. Their excellent price to performance ratio makes the cameras suitable for demanding embedded machine vision tasks. The housed versions offer a compact, robust design (36 x 36 x 25 mm) with C/CS or S-mount.

The Imaging Source provides free software tools and SDKs for Windows and Linux platforms: IC Imaging Control SDK; the end-user software IC Capture for image acquisition; IC 3D for 3D stereo depth estimation; IC Measure for on-screen measurement; and IC Barcode, an SDK for 1- and 2D barcode detection.
