“Before our product models were available on TracePartsOnline.net, our customers had to call an applications person here at Ross to request a model. The model was created and then emailed out to fill that request. Now our 3D product models are all self-serve; our customers simply find the product they’re looking for and download it right from the web. It couldn’t be more user-friendly than that,” said Dan Henman, Ross Controls Vice President Sales & Marketing NAO (North American Operations.) “The team at TraceParts helped us to organize our models by product line, test and update each one, add multiple CAD support, and make downloads self-service,” said Henman.
Another objective was to create more product exposure to the fluid power industry. “Through the TraceParts publishing network, Ross went from their company website to a network of 7.5 million users,” said Bob Noftle, TraceParts President. “The impact of increased exposure, multiple CAD platform support, and the self-service downloads will all contribute to increased sales for Ross. It’s a win/win for Ross Controls and their customers,” said Noftle.
