With over 600,000 visitors every day and 95% brand awareness, Zalando has in the meantime grown into one of the best-known European online fashion stores. As early as last year, Zalando had already introduced the partner programme, with which other ecommerce players can also benefit from Zalando's vast reach. At Zalando, selected retailers and suppliers can in future sell their products via the interface of Tradebyte.
The core piece of the partner software TB.One from Tradebyte is a Product Information System (PIM) which enriches the item information in line with Zalando requirements and automatically makes it available via the integrated interface. The order management, which is also included, processes the orders and makes it possible to access statistics. TB.One supports numerous import functions from existing systems, for example the shop-backend or the inventory management of the retailer, which significantly reduces integration periods. The retailer has the additional option to also connect his/her own shop and other market places to TB.One. This enables a centralised management of product and stock information.
Since its inception in 2009, Tradebyte has consistently focussed on standardised ecommerce solutions for marketplace trading and distribution platforms. Large online portals such as Amazon, Neckermann, Otto, Karstadt, Lidl and Plus are already connected by Tradebyte. The software solutions from Tradebyte are also available to international markets and are already being used in Austria, Switzerland, The Netherlands, Belgium, France and Great Britain.
"The fact that Zalando has chosen Tradebyte as a partner for their ambitious business targets is testimony to the quality of our software solution and confirms our strategy of fulfilling the complex requirements of market trading systems by providing standardised applications. Trouble-free, fast implementation ensures that everyone involved has an advantageous position when it comes to securing customers and orders. I like to compare it to a Formula 1 race: the shorter the pit stops the greater the chances of gaining top pole position", says Tradebyte Director, Matthias Schulte.
Thanks to the partner programme, Zalando is able to prudently expand its own portfolio in niche markets. Connecting further suppliers further increases the availability of existing products, which has a positive impact on the purchasing quota. Especially at times of high demand, end-customers benefit from decentralised warehousing, which is an inherent element of the partner programme. "The Zalando platform represents a three-fold win-win situation for us: we are increasing availability and turnover, partners increase their reach and the end-customer enjoys more choice and faster deliveries," explains Philipp Metzler, Manager of the Zalando platform.
Tradebyte will be represented at the CeBIT 2012: from 6 to 10 March in a relaxed atmosphere under the motto: "Meet. Greet. Relax" in the IT‐Business Lounge (Hall 14, Stand L02).
