“I take great pleasure in assuming the role of Chairman of the European Car Remarketing Association,” says Luis María Pérez-Serrano. “We are going to promote innovation and cooperation between our members and so further develop the remarketing sector in Europe.” Founded in 2015, CARA has 45 members, from many different European countries. Members include inspections companies, used-car dealers, fleet operators, leasing providers, auction houses and mobility data managers. CARA represents the branch's interests when dealing with local authorities and government, as well as promoting the attendance and visibility of the Association's members at branch conventions. CARA provides its members with a platform for the exchange of ideas, sharing proven best-practice and the opportunity to network.
Pérez-Serrano: “It is a privilege to follow in the footsteps of our co-founder Wolfgang Reinhold. I am looking forward to building on his legacy, and to boosting the growth and development of our young Association in the coming years. I am fully aware of the magnitude of this responsibility.”
The Spanish-born Pérez-Serrano joined TÜV SÜD in 2011, initially taking over management of all activities within the automotive branch TÜV SÜD Iberia und ATISAE. Since 2020, he moved to Germany to take the role as Managing Director of TÜV SÜD Auto Plus GmbH, and since 2022 moved into the international responsibility for the business line Remarketing und Mobility Consulting. In June this year, he became Chairman of CARA.
