Only 10 suppliers worldwide were invited to participate in the Forrester ITAM Wave. Their products were evaluated across 43 criteria. The report cites USU's “strong reputation” in Europe. The Valuemation product suite has a “modular, component-based software set featuring strong third-party integration ability”. On a scale of 0 to 5 (0 weak, 5 strong), USU received a rating of 4.4 for architecture, 4.35 for financial management, and 4.6 for its contract management capabilities.
USU focused on IT management since 1988. In the meantime Valuemation, a fourth generation product, is available. Central software components for IT asset management, IT finance management and service/change management ensure that companies are provided with an exact overview of the economic use of their IT technology at all times and can improve continuously. The holistic approach also encompasses the many process models tested in projects that are oriented on the ITIL guidelines for qualified cost-effective IT services.
USU AG accelerated its growth in this business segment in the first quarter of 2006. The company realized further license acquisitions with Valuemation, which include contracts from well-known companies such as the BMW group, T-Online, T-Systems, Hannover Rück, EDS GFS or Wüstenrot & Württembergische.
"Our view of IT asset management goes beyond pure technology and takes the business side of things into consideration. With the Valuemation product line, we bundle all business, strategic and technical knowledge about IT.
Not only the current Forrester study proves that we are a leading manufacturer in this attractive market. We also experience an intensified demand for our products as another confirmation of our strategy of business-oriented IT Service Management," comments Bernhard Oberschmidt, CEO of USU AG.
