This integration, known as version 4.16, Build 0217 of ActFax, has new features and updates for network-wide transmission and receipt of fax messages. Venali's Web Services integrate into ActFax software using Venali's API for Inbound and Outbound Faxing.
Sending fax messages with Venali's Internet Fax Service and ActFax is as simple and fast as printing a document on paper. Users simply choose the print function in their ActFax application and select the ActFax printer as the destination. A dialog window then pops up asking for the recipient(s) of the message.
ActFax transfers the document to the Venali Fax Server that automatically stores the fax and transmits it within seconds. Centralized data is stored on the fax server and automatically archived. The user also has the option to exchange data using an external database.
Due to the client/server architecture of ActFax, all documents are available for all users on any workstation in the network with unlimited capacity. Access can be restricted per user. Extension numbers can be used to automatically route incoming faxes directly to the user's inbox and automatic printing on a particular workplace printer and automatic forwarding of received faxes by email can be individually configured by user.
"The integration of Venali's Internet fax service with ActFax is ideal for customers that do not want to spend money for expensive fax boards and additional phone lines. The setup of the fax server becomes even simpler when using the Venali Internet fax services," said Helmut Vogler, ActFax's CEO. "Since, no additional hardware needs to be installed; all you need to do is to just enter your Venali account number and password in ActFax and you are ready to go."
