C-Class with SPEED7 technology

High Speed for small applications

(PresseBox) (Herzogenaurach, )
With the new SPEED 7-CPUs 313SC and 314SC from Vipa, the portfolio of the high-speed automation devices has been completed for the lower level.

Of course the CPU based on the PLC 7001is programmable with Step 7 from Siemens and is adjustable to the command fund of the S7-300 or S7-400. The SPS is drawn up for time critical applications and at the same time fulfills the increasing need of rising memory capacities. The memory can subsequently be adjusted to the needs of the plant and application at any time without having to change existing hardware. For this only a memory configuration card (MCC) is plugged into the card slot to release more memory. This reduces the number of required CPU types that the customer has to hold on stock for all applications to one.
Together with the Ethernet interface, the integrated master for Profibus-DP and the MP2I connection, the CPU supports thus all important interfaces, combined in one system.

The CPUs 313/314SC are at this time the fastest CPUs of their class. The processing happens up to 48 times faster than at existing compact control systems.

The ultra fast digital in- and outputs of the CPU 314SC enable a frequency of up to 200kHz for the counters.

The interrupt behavior is characterized by an extremely high performance and deterministic.

For our customers these CPUs are expectedly available as from August this year.

VIPA Gesellschaft für Visualisierung und Prozeßautomatisierung mbH

VIPA was founded in 1985 in Erlangen by Mr. Wolfgang Seel as a system house for automation engineering. After the first PC-based machine operating panel there were further developments of control and communication modules. The first customers were from the automotive and food industry, conveying engineering and machine and plant construction. VIPA has been increasingly active in the European market since 1995.

The introduction of the modular automation System 200V was the basis for creating more powerful, faster and more reliable systems. In the year 2000 the new 2000sq.m headquarter in Herzogenaurach, west of Erlangen was opened.

The development of the SPEED7 High-SPEED PLC in 2003 was a further technological milestone in the automation equipment range (www.speed7.com). In 2005, VIPA has extended the product range with the Touch Panel family.

More than 100 highly qualified employees are working for VIPA in Germany. In addition to that there are VIPA branche offices and Service partners in 55 countries.
