VIPA Controls has developed and designed two new panel series: cloudPanel and smartPanel, to take account of current and future developments in the visualization market. The Franconian automation specialist has consciously intensified its focus on future technologies such as Cloud, WebVisu and Co. The new panels will be presented at the SPS IPC Drives 2017 in Nuremberg and are expected to be available from stock at the beginning of 2018.
The two new panel series cloudPanel and smartPanel not only bring a breath of fresh air to the automation market with their new design, but also have many new features and highlights on board. In addition to high-performance hardware, such as processor and memory, special attention was paid to usability and networking capability. High-resolution displays with widescreen technology and a wide range of connections round off the picture. Both panel series will be available in display sizes of 4.3", 7" and 10".
cloudPanels
The cloudPanels are optimized for web applications and therefore the perfect companion for WebVisu projects. Since the WebVisu creation feature is already integrated in the Vipa Engineering Tool Speed7 Studio, visualization via the new cloudPanel is child's play: It runs within the respective PLC and is called up from the cloudPanel via an HTML5-capable web browser. This visualization option is a cost-effective solution, especially for smaller applications.
smartPanels
The smartPanels are optimally designed for small to medium-sized applications. They stand for high usability and connectivity. Equipped with Movicon 11 Standard, the user is practically unrestricted in terms of tags, screens, recipes, alarms, etc.
