Unter dem Begriff „Outsourcing“ versteht das CCO vor allem das Auslagern dokumentenbasierter Dienstleistungen an Spezialisten. Dabei geht es insbesondere um die Prozessschritte zwischen dem Dokumenteneingang und -ausgang sowie um die Themenbereiche Software as a Service (SaaS) und Business Process Outsourcing (BPO).
„Unser Ziel ist es, Unternehmen den Nutzen und die Vorteile des Outsourcings zu erläutern und ihnen dabei gleichzeitig die Ängste vor Outsourcing-Projekten zu nehmen“, so Petra Greiffenhagen, neue Leiterin des CCO. „Dies können wir am besten durch Aufklärungsarbeit z. B. in Form von Informationsveranstaltungen, White Papers und Leitfäden erreichen.“ Dementsprechend steht für das kommende Jahr die Erarbeitung von Dokumentationsunterlagen, die Teilnahme an Vortragsforen sowie die Erweiterung der Informationsquellen im Internet auf der Agenda.
