Ultrasound allows parts to be cleaned within short cleaning cycles and in line with demands in an economical, reproducible and environmentally friendly manner for coarse, fine and superfine cleaning. The frequency of the electrical signals emitted by the ultrasonic generator, which the transducer system transfers to a tank of liquid as waves of ultrasound, is the key factor for the cleaning effect, as the lower the frequency of the electrical signals, the more energy is released by the ultrasonic waves. When working with sensitive components and fine structures such as those commonly found in the optical and semiconductor industry, electronics, precision mechanics, microtechnology and photovoltaics today, a frequency that is too low can damage the parts or destroy the structures. In order to complete such demanding cleaning tasks safely and reliably, Weber Ultrasonics GmbH has added a 250 kHz frequency module generator to its proven SONIC DIGITAL digital ultrasonic generator programme. The new 19" device from the Karlsbad company, one of the world's leading manufacturers of ultrasonic components, is available with a power output of 250 and 500 Watt. Its high efficiency, compact design, convenient operation and sophisticated features for maximum process and operational safety give it the edge over the competition.
Constant power output for an optimum cleaning result
The frequency is generated and controlled digitally, allowing the new 250 kHz module generator to also offer maximum stability of all parameters relevant to the process, such as frequency, amplitude and power output and therefore greater efficiency. The power output can be set steplessly between 10% and 100% via power control. This, together with the high grade of efficiency, ensures a cleaning process with reproducible results at minimum cost, which also meets requirements in terms of both the object to be cleaned and the level of soiling. The device can be operated manually on the equipment itself or via remote control.
Maximum process and operational safety through innovative protective functions
The varied features offered as standard by the SONIC DIGITAL series guarantee a maximum of process and operational safety. This includes an intelligent cooling system as well as protection mechanisms against short-circuiting, no-load operation, overloading and overheating.
Ideally matched high performance transducer systems
Another advantage is that the generators by Weber Ultrasonics can be operated with every compatible transducer system of the same power class. SONOSUB submersible transducers and SONOPLATE plate transducers with 250 and 500 Watt power output, the dimensions of which can be adapted according to customer requirements or the object to be cleaned, can be used with the 250 kHz generator, thus further improving the efficiency of the cleaning system.
