- Weidmüller ACT20P Pro DCDC II: New analogue signal converter for superior measuring accuracy and high insulation effect
- Extremely convenient and simple configuration thanks to integral display
- Module width of only 12.5 mm and a universal input range for a wide range of application areas

The new ACT20P Pro DCDC II from Weidmüller is an analogue signal converter that is characterised by high measuring accuracy in many fields of application. Because, from machine construction through to process and energy technology, the secure isolation and precise conversion of analogue current and voltage signals are among the primary prerequisites for smooth processes in all these areas. Thanks to an integral display, the Pro DCDC II analogue signal converter from the ACT20P series impresses with its particularly simple configuration. In addition, the high performance module with a width of only 12.5 mm has a universal input range with high insulation effect. Individually configurable protection against mismating and release lever for the female plug ensure secure, reliable connections with safe handling characteristics.

As one of the signal converters with the highest process reliability and precision on the market, the ACT20P Pro DCDC II provides an impressive all-purpose, flexible solution. This means the input range can be used for a wide range of different applications due to a large number of adjustable measurement ranges from ±20 mV…±300 V or ± 0.1 mA...± 100 mA. Also adjustable is the output voltage (0...±10 V) and the output current (0...±20 mA). In addition, a wide supply range from 24 V UC to 230 V UC enables numerous possible applications. No overflow, no half-filled bottles – the high measuring accuracy of the ACT20P PRO DCDC II stands for precision processes, such as those in bottling plants also found in the pharmaceutical industry. Measurement data is converted and transferred with an accuracy of 0.05 %. And the high level of galvanic isolation of 4 kV with a rated voltage of 600 V guarantees safe operation.

Whether temperature, pressure, filling level or flow volume – the sensors in a plant send a variety of analogue current signals. In plants and processes that are controlled by analogue current signals, ACT20P PRO DCDC II offers a reliable solution for signal conditioning and galvanic isolation of current signals. The new signal converter protects controls from transients and voltage spikes. The module also adapts various signal variants to standard signals.

Users configure the signal converter either on the device with DIP switches or using a plain text display and buttons. The integral display on the front makes the configuration especially simple: the display and buttons allow convenient, intuitive configuration without other external devices, which means no reference source is required. The user also has no need for a manual. The values are therefore entered directly via buttons, thus also making the device easily adjustable for special ranges.

A width of just 12.5 mm means the new ACT20P PRO DCDC II analogue signal converter takes up only little space in the cabinet. Replacement of the devices is quick and safe: the device has a practical release lever for simple removal of the female plug.

The ACT20P Pro DCDC II is operational in the extended temperature range of – 25° to + 70 °C. The analogue signal converter is certified according to cULus; it also has GL approval for shipbuilding and can be used for potentially explosive atmospheres in Zone 2 (Cl1 Div 2) in accordance with ATEX. The module complies with the international standards EN 60079-0, EN 60079-15, EN 61010-1:2011, EN 61140, EN 61326-1, UL 61010-1 and SN29500 for MTBF.
