- For a wide range of applications such as customer service and service vehicles
- Very bright lights with three rows of offset white LEDs
- Trapezium design for a wide beam angle
- Eight-millimetre flat light for space-saving installation
It is connected via a DIN ISO 4165 connector on the onboard voltage socket ("cigarette lighter"). The light has attachment holes for permanent assembly as well as a powerful magnetic bracket for flexible use. The housing is 240 mm long, 40 mm wide and just 8 mm deep, meaning that the light barely reduces the amount of clear space even under tight space conditions such as those in a service vehicle. It can be concealed behind a folded edge, for example, or simply fitted on a side wall. The 5-m-long connecting line offers a lot of freedom of movement. This makes it really easy for service technicians to set up workplace lighting or look at inaccessible corners of the vehicle. Thanks to the magnet, the light simply returns to its original position after use. The application options are just as varied for outdoor use; the light can be used when carrying out loading work at the construction site, as a breakdown light in the engine compartment, or during a wheel change. Thanks to its IP 67 degree of protection, the light can easily withstand dirt and moisture when being used outdoors. In accordance with the development approach, the illuminating area is completely encased in PUR V0. The design therefore has no air-filled space and no inspection glass that could potentially break. In combination with the housing made from a hard-anodised extruded aluminium profile with a matt nickel-plated zinc diecast, the device achieves very good levels of resistance even under the most adverse of conditions.
The light has three integrated rows of LEDs, offset by 20 degrees (3 x 14 LEDs). This trapezoidal arrangement ensures a very wide beam angle, and therefore a very wide illuminated area. This design means users do not have to rotate the light to illuminate specific areas or even change the direction.
Weidmüller WIL LED lights offer high performance at low consumption. At the usual operating voltage of 12 V DC, there is a maximum current of 700 mA, meaning a low load for the onboard electrical system. The level of illumination in this case is 175 lux. The very bright light has a light colour of 6500 K – roughly equivalent to daylight and therefore acceptable to the eye.
LEDs have a longer service life compared to conventional bulbs; in the case of Weidmüller lights, the service life is at least 10,000 hours. LEDs also have lower maintenance costs and a lower power consumption. They are more robust, are in most cases resistant to jolts and vibrations and are more compact, thus improving lighting even in confined spaces. What's more, their full brightness is immediately evident.
