Weidmüller bietet mit "RockStar® HighPower Stirnwandsteckerverbinder" ein kompaktes Hochstromsteckverbindersystem für Hochgeschwindigkeitszüge - im universellen Anschlussgehäuse. Der für max. 550 Ampere und 1.500 Volt ausgelegte "RockStar® HighPower Stirnwandsteckverbinder" wurde speziell für Anwendungen in der Verkehrstechnik (DIN EN 61373 KAT -1b (gefederter Wagenkasten)) entwickelt und erfüllt ein umfassendes Anforderungsprofil. Gefordert sind - neben einer flexiblen steckbaren Einsatzmöglichkeit und kleinen Abmessungen - eine hohe Leistung, ferner wartungsfreie Crimpanschlüsse, eine staub- und wasserdichte sowie schlagfeste Ausführung sowie einfache Handhabung und schnelle Montage. Ein robustes, hoch schlagfestes und korrosionsresistentes Gehäuse in Schutzart IP 68 schützt die in 3- und 4- poliger Ausführung verfügbaren Stirnwandsteckerverbinder. Die bewährte Crimpanschlusstechnik eignet sich für mehr-, fein- und feinstdrähtige Kupferleiter bis 240 mm2 und lässt sich mit Standardcrimpwerkzeugen anschließen. Das Hochstromsteckverbindersystem, mit außen liegendem Erdanschluss, besteht aus einteiligen Crimpkontakten, Isolierhülsen, sowie einem schwarz lackierten Aluminiumdruckgussgehäuse. Der sehr kompakte Stirnwandstecker von Weidmüller nimmt nur wenig Platz in Anspruch, schließlich steht beim Wagenübergang nur wenig Einbauraum bereit. Ein modularer Aufbau des Steckverbinders vereinfacht die Handhabung.
