The jurors were particularly won over by the fact that the entire product concept is strictly aligned to the needs of customers and subsequent users. The "German Design Award 2014" jury's citation for "u-remote" was:
"The innovative design concept behind u-remote combines top technical performance with the world's highest-density cabling for a remote I/O system, along with extraordinarily simple handling. This compelling concept results in maximum system performance and smaller cabinets, as well as faster customer processes. The modular design, the single-row connection strip with status LEDs and even the functional colour concept mark out the product design as a driver of significant productivity increases. u-remote provides an elegant solution to the problem of cabling. Uncluttered."
Two other international panels of experts have already been won over by the "u-remote" design concept. The "iF product design award 2013" acknowledged in particular the design quality, workmanship, degree of innovation and functionality. The fact that the solution is simple and intuitive to use, as well as being innovative and sustainable, were decisive factors for the "universal design award 2013".
