According to the Federal Statistical Office, electricity accounts for a fifth of industrial energy consumption. At the same time, there is growing political pressure to use energy efficiently and to be able to prove this with energy management systems. With the intelligent LED lights with connected app for reading area activity data from welight intelligent, companies can save up to 90% energy. At LogiMAT, the luminaire manufacturer and solution provider will be presenting its LED solutions and applications for retrofitting existing buildings with retrofit LED luminaires or an intelligent lighting system at stand 7A46 in hall 7.
The intelligent LED luminaires in the manufacturer's portfolio use a sensor to detect activity in each section of the hall and switch on when required. Individual work areas are illuminated brightly and evenly in a targeted manner, keeping operating costs low and reducing consumption compared to conventional lighting. Each luminaire is independently controlled and networked with each other. For example, the LHS 606 NG LED high bay spotlight uses state-of-the-art LED diodes with a long service life of 100,000 hours (L80 B10) to provide efficient illumination in demanding industrial environments. The lighting expert will be presenting its intelligent high bay floodlight at LogiMAT to give interested parties a live demonstration of the modular design, including two robust ballasts for increased operational reliability. ‘With its integrated control system, the LHS 606 NG LED high bay spotlight saves an average of 90 per cent energy,’ explains Andreas Kreuss, Managing Director of welight intelligent.
Downcurve Dashboard puts energy efficiency in the spotlight
The intelligent LED luminaires record activity profiles and the amount of daylight and adjust their brightness accordingly. The Downcurve Dashboard app combines lighting control with energy management. Users can read off the exact energy consumption per luminaire, group and hall section. Based on the measured CO2 content, companies can also see in which areas of the warehouse order picking is taking place and how often. The real-time evaluation thus offers companies from logistics and production a sound basis for digitally supported maintenance and space optimisation. Users control the entire lighting system, including multi-location management, via the control centre. The wireless system architecture and the luminaires can be integrated into the existing infrastructure and connected to other energy sources so that photovoltaic systems and
other participants can be easily read out in the app. The intelligently controlled LED luminaires are particularly suitable for a longer operating horizon - partly due to their service life of 25 years. The intelligent lighting system also includes monitoring of energy consumption, occupancy profile, luminaire status and emergency luminaire self-testing.
For the refurbishment of existing systems, welight intelligent also offers uncontrolled LED luminaires with a faster amortisation period. The individual requirements are decisive. ‘For example, we are currently refurbishing a property with a remaining useful life of five years for one of Germany's leading logistics service providers. The aim is to save electricity and achieve better illumination despite the short operating time,’ explains Andreas Kreuss. As part of the plug-and-play project, welight intelligently supplied 1,400 lighting modules to the company, which could be replaced by the user within three days thanks to their simple integration. The uncontrolled LED lights pay for themselves in two to three years and save up to 75 per cent electricity right from the start.
Interested parties can experience the LED solutions and the Downcurve Dashboard live at stand 7A46 in hall 7.
