Weller Tools GmbH, a leading supplier in the field of soldering technology for industrial applications, is set to extend its global activities over the coming weeks and months. With this objective in mind, the new management team comprising Bernd Frühwald (General Manager Global), Philippe Buidin (Director Global Product Management & Marketing) and Rainer Weigle (Senior Director, Global Sales Weller) is planning a product offensive: "We are developing new products that we will be able to present by November this year at the Productronica trade fair," explains Bernd Frühwald.
"We believe in the fantastic potential of the Weller brand, and it is our intention to utilize this potential even more effectively in the future. This is why we are looking for synergy effects on a global scale to help us enhance efficiency at our company. We want to consolidate and strengthen the solid position that we already enjoy in Europe and the USA, while growing and extending our business activities in Asia and Latin America," says Frühwald. In its efforts to achieve these objectives, Weller is sure to benefit from its affiliation with the Apex Tool Group, one of the largest manufacturers of professional hand tools, power tools, drill chucks and electronic soldering products in the world, with an annual turnover of USD 1.6 billion. The new management team is also keen to step up the collaboration between Weller representatives and distributors and sales offices around the world as well as boosting its sales activities.
Frühwald sees some great opportunities on the market for Weller products, and is expecting significant demand in 2015: "We are investing heavily in innovations and this is allowing us to purposefully strengthen our position as a solutions provider that offers technologically advanced products." The new products in the pipeline include a soldering stations featuring new functionality, high-performance soldering iron, a new hot air station and so on. The company also plans to expand its already extensive range of accessories.
