Since 1993, compamedia has been awarding the TOP 100 seal of approval to medium-sized companies for special innovative strength and above-average innovation success. Since 2002, scientific management has been in the hands of Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke. Franke is the founder and director of the Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the Vienna University of Economics and Business. The mentor of TOP 100 is science journalist Ranga Yogeshwar.
The award ceremony at the Summit took place on Friday evening, June 24, in Frankfurt am Main for all medium-sized companies that were awarded the TOP 100 seal at the beginning of the year. In the scientific selection process, Wipotec was particularly convincing in size category C (more than 200 employees) in the category "Climate of Innovation".
For more than 30 years now, the question "Can't we do it ourselves?" has been the first thing on Wipotec's mind when it comes to finding solutions. "Innovation is our job," explains founder and CEO Theo Düppre. Those who work in the development team live innovation through and through. Tinkering is their vocation, their credo: "There's no such thing as can't!". More than 650 patents bear witness to this. Errors are enormously important development steps for the engineers, electronics technicians and programmers. So important, in fact, that there is a separate working group called "Prototype and Trial." "We are strongly driven by the requirements that the market brings with it. This always opens up new horizons. And when something needs to be done, we do it" adds Jens Kühn, Technical Managing Director.
