Zum Bearbeiten großflächiger, unebener Aluminium-Werkstücke wurde von Witte eine komplexe Spannanlage als Bestandteil einer Gantry-Maschine, d.h. einer großformatigen CNC-Fräsmaschine mit in Längsrichtung fahrbarer Brücke, konzipiert und erstellt.
Die Anlage besteht aus einem 2x7 Meter großen Vakuumtisch, der in 32 automatisch überwachte Vakuumfelder unterteilt ist. Oberhalb dieser Felder wird ein Hydraulikstempel, durch den die Aluminium-Walzbleche auf die Vakuumspannplatte gepresst werden, Segmentweise positioniert.
Die Stempel-Einheit kann jeden beliebigen Punkt auf der Vakuumplatte anfahren und dabei Blechstärken von bis zu 16mm Dicke herunterdrücken. Die Anzahl dieser Prozesse richtet sich nach der Größe des zu haltenden Werkstückes.
Die gesamte Anlage wird in eine Fräsmaschine integriert.
