WITTENSTEIN electronics GmbH will give the Igersheim mechatronics specialist crucial access to new markets. Since April 1, 2007 this new subsidiary has been develop-ing products and services for complex mechatronic sys-tems. Its miniaturised, intelligent software and electronic components are also designed to work in extreme environments and are consequently characterised by an ex-ceptional level of reliability.
Dr. Thomas Kalker (49) holds a master's degree in elec-trical engineering and has considerable experience in the field of servo drives. He has held the post of Manager Development at the WITTENSTEIN Group since 1998. In his role as Managing Director of WITTENSTEIN electronics GmbH he has already set his first targets: "We plan to unveil our products to a general audience at the SPS/IPC/Drives 2007 show in Nuremberg at the end of the year."
