- WITTENSTEIN AG - Hall 15, Stand F 04 (International Flagship Exhibition "Industrial Automation") and
- WITTENSTEIN AG - Hall 27, E-MOTIVE joint stand D 60/16, (International Flagship Exhibition "MobiliTec")
- Press briefing on Tuesday, April 20, 2010, 2.30 to 3 p.m., at the WITTENSTEIN Stand F 04 in Hall 15:
1.) Dr. Bernd Schimpf (Head of Generating Process Management at WITTENSTEIN AG): Enthusiasm for motion / highend drive solutions for tomorrow's electromobility
2.) Javier Stillig (WITTENSTEIN cyber motor GmbH, Sales Manager): Presentation of the new "industrial line" motor series
At the "MobiliTec" flagship exhibition in the framework of the Hanover Fair 2010, WITTENSTEIN AG will make its debut as a highend partner for the development and manufacture of highperformance electromechanical motors for use in electric and hybrid vehicles. The mechatronics specialist will use one of the drive systems on show at the exhibition as an example to demonstrate how its expertise in the field - built up over several decades dedicated to the achievement of optimal interaction between controllable electrical and mechanical components ("Evolution through interaction") - can also make a successful contribution to drive solutions for highly dynamic and emissionfree mobility in tomorrow's world.
New concepts for eMobility and traction drives for the highend niche market are more than a mere vision for the future at WITTENSTEIN - they will actually be unveiled to a general audience at the joint VDMA stand of the E-MOTIVE Initiative within the Research Association for Power Transmission Engineering (FVA):
The "trade fair model" in Hall 27, Stand D 60/16, and its various engineering features will underline the direction in which WITTENSTEIN electromobility is heading: the motor, gearhead and electronics are optimally matched and compare excellently to the power/weight ratio of a Formula One drive!
Electric drive technology - redesigned with WITTENSTEIN's core competencies
Enormous power density and dynamics, low weight, a compact design, maximum reliability and durability - the latest drive solutions from the WITTENSTEIN stable meet all these requirements. "Our existing engineering knowhow and our experience with optimally interacting electrical and mechanical components will also play a part in the production of future electric and hybrid vehicles. The electrification of transport is bound to happen, and intelligent drive systems that match the electronics, motor and gearhead to one another perfectly will be in great demand", explains Dr. Bernd Schimpf, Head of Generating Process Management at WITTENSTEIN AG. "However, it will not be enough simply to come up with new drive concepts that comply with the strictest possible operating, safety and reliability requirements. We must also identify options for developing and manufacturing electromobile drive technology sufficiently cheaply for it to be competitive - and that includes not only the vehicle purchase price but also the running costs for the end customer."
WITTENSTEIN as a leading player in tomorrow's lead market
WITTENSTEIN's goal is to position itself as technology leader in the crucial electromobility market as a manufacturer of highend mechatronic drive solutions for highly dynamic and emissionfree vehicle mobility - especially where top performance is essential. The Group's acknowledged technological expertise when it comes to intelligent servo systems and mechatronic drives will form the basis for achieving this aim. With the drive system due to be unveiled at the Hanover Fair 2010, WITTENSTEIN will provide an insight into tomorrow's electric and hybrid drive technologies today: on the one hand integrated, in other words a unit comprised of a motor, gearhead and electronics offering maximum possible efficiency, and on the other a modular building block system for electric drives that allows different components for different means of transport to be constructed from identical parts while simultaneously facilitating completely new drive architectures.
"Evolution through interaction": WITTENSTEIN at "Industrial Automation"
The continuous evolution of WITTENSTEIN's drive expertise will not only be in evidence at the "MobiliTec" exhibition - at the "main booth" in Hall 15, Stand F 04, all Business Units will present themselves in Hanover as suppliers of highend components for resourceefficient drives for a very wide range of applications. The new "industrial line" motor series from WITTENSTEIN cyber motor is just one example.
