WORTMANN AG unter TOP 5 der Green IT-Hersteller

Seit Jahren wird das Thema Green IT bei der WORTMANN AG äußerst ernst genommen. Nicht nur innerhalb des Herstellungsprozesses der PCs, Notebooks und LCD-Monitore wird auf schadstoffarme Produktionsverfahren geachtet, sondern auch bei den verbauten Komponenten der IT-Produkte, wie zum Beispiel durch besonders stromsparende Netzteile.

Nun wurde das Hüllhorster IT-Unternehmen für seine Aktivitäten in diesem Bereich durch zwei sehr gute fünfte Plätze bei der "Green IT Readers Choice" des Fachblattes "Channel Partner" belohnt. Insgesamt haben sich rund 1200 Fachhändler an der repräsentativen Umfrage beteiligt. Sowohl in der Kategorie "PCs & Server" als auch in der Kategorie "Monitore" kamen die Ostwestfalen jeweils auf einen beachtlichen fünften Platz.

"Wir werden diese Auszeichnung zum Anlass nehmen, unsere Aktivitäten im Bereich des Green IT weiter zu verstärken. Eine Verbesserung um vier Plätze im Vergleich zum Vorjahr im PC- und Serverbereich zeigt uns, dass wir auf dem richtigen Weg sind. Das Thema ist eindeutig beim Verbraucher angekommen und wir sind gerne bereit unseren Beitrag zum Umweltschutz zu leisten", sagt Robin Wittland, Mitglied des Aufsichtsrates der WORTMANN AG.
