Ein zweites solches Widget ist vor allem für die Gründer interessant: Sie können nun z.B. im Unternehmensblog zeigen, auf welchem Platz der Top 100 von „startups“ sie mit ihrem Projekt stehen.
Auf „startups“ entsteht seit dem Launch im November 2008 eine umfangreiche Datenbank, die aktuell rund 180 Startups aus dem deutschsprachigen Raum umfasst. Die Redaktion von yeebase erweitert und aktualisiert sie täglich. Die interessantesten Informationen der einzelnen Startups, wie Kurzbeschreibung, Schlagwörter, Geschäftsfeld, Gründungsdatum, Gründer und Ort kann man nun über ein Widget in andere Websites integrieren. Interessant ist diese neue Möglichkeit gerade für Journalisten und Blogger, die sich diese Informationen ansonsten mühsam zusammensuchen müssten, um sie dann in ihre Online-Artikel zu übernehmen. Zudem bezieht das Widget automatisch immer den aktuellsten Datenstand.
Eine Besonderheit des Portals „startups“ ist das wöchentliche Ranking der Top 100 Startups. Das Ranking basiert auf einem Algorithmus, der von externen Faktoren sowie einer Portion Benutzer-Bewertung gespeist wird. Die aktuellen Platzierungen sind oftmals schon jetzt in den Blogs der gelisteten Unternehmen zu finden. Das zweite neue Widget macht nun genau das ebenfalls vollautomatisch: Es zeigt auf einen Blick die aktuelle Platzierung des jeweiligen Startups in den Top 100 an.
Die beiden Widgets sind kostenlos auf „startups“ verfügbar und auf der Übersichtsseite zum jeweiligen Startup zu finden. Sie basieren auf JavaScript und lassen sich leicht integrieren: Ähnlich einem YouTube-Video kopiert man lediglich ein Stückchen HTML-Code an die gewünschte Stelle, alles andere funktioniert von allein.
