Free iXm Uplink App now available
Yellowtec‘s App for the iXm Recording Microphone is now available for iPhone and iPad at the Apple store free of charge. The App manages and transfers audio clips recorded by Yellowtec‘s professional iXm Recording Microphone to a variety of destinations.
Facilitating the exchange of data between the iXm microphone and iOS devices, the App also allows direct upload to FTP servers or Dropbox. Soundfiles can be downloaded from the iXm, edited and transferred via GSM or WiFi. This is of particular interest to reporters as it allows them to email recordings directly to the studio after tagging their files.
"iXm Uplink not only makes reporters' life much easier" said Tim Clausen, Marketing Manager at Yellowtec, "it creates a completely new way of conducting their interviews because, with both iXm and iXm Uplink, they finally have an integrative toolset tailored to their requirements”.
Yellowtec’s iXm Uplink App is field upgradable to all iXm microphones with the purchase of a manufacturer approved SD card.
The latest member of the family: PUC MIC LEA
Also debuting at IBC 2015 is Yellowtec‘s new PUC Mic LEA. It integrates the real-time LEA DSP Engine from the iXm digital recording microphone into a class-leading audio interface. Yel- lowtec’s LEA technology allows crystal clear recordings without time-consuming post-processing by capturing perfect levels without clipping or artefacts. A look-ahead peak limiter avoids ADC distortion by converting the microphone signal twice.
"The LEA engine is particularly interesting for those who do not have the time or technical back- ground knowledge to make perfect adjustments," said Reinhard Gallos, Product Manager at Yel- lowtec.
