The stand invites visitors with a large open front, providing an excellent perspective of what may be expected inside. Three cubes are bordered by a ribbon of constant thickness running from the floor, via the rear wall, the roof and the cantilevered cornice at the front side, and are mysteriously closed off in the upper part by a projecting cornice. The projecting cornice creates a controlled lighting environment for the highlights of the trade fair stand, the presentation of Panos Infinity downlights with adjustable colour temperature ("tunable white"), Arcos-Tempura RGB LED spotlights and the Discus LED spotlight range. The key quality of "tunable white", i.e. a consistently high colour rendition quality across a broad range of white, is demonstrated by a tessellation on the wall displaying a variety of white tones.
At the extraordinary stand, the applications of Retail & Presentation, Hotel & Wellness, Art & Culture as well as Offices & Communication are presented in an impressive and multifaceted manner using the most recent LED products by Zumtobel. A fascinating installation featuring the Capix LED luminaire can be seen through an opening in the side wall. Apparently originating from and ending in infinity, the installation shows abstract, horizontally merging graphic elements. The Capix LED chain by Zumtobel is an attractive solution to enhance the appeal of surfaces and objects indoors as well as outdoors. Each pixel incorporates three RGB LEDs, so that Capix provides brilliant brightness even over wide distances. Combined with an intelligent video control system, the Capix LED chain not only provides design options with respect to colours, but can also run complete video sequences, allowing the implementation of exciting lighting effects, a fascinating colour interplay and dynamic images and messages on the façade. In Kortrijk, graphic elements and cryptic signs enter the room from both sides, creating changes of ambient light colour on the rear wall. Behind the Highlight Cube, visible from any position, an illuminated bar in front of a wall fitted with 16 programmable Cielos LED lighting modules draws the visitors' gaze into the back of the stand.
The Biennale in Kortrijk will be opened daily from 15 - 24 October from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm. In Hall 2, stand 202, Zumtobel will present an interplay of daylight and artificial lighting, using products that cannot fail to impress with their technological sophistication and superior design.
