Testing technology and equipment for test benches

Test devices, calibration standards and accessories for industrial leak and flow testing

(PresseBox) (Hilden, )
CETA Testsysteme GmbH is a solution provider and manufacturer of leak and flow testers and has been active in 100% end-of-line testing for more than 35 years. Several thousand CETA test devices are in use worldwide for quality control in production lines.

The CETA test device program includes leak testers, mass flow testers, volume flow testers and digital pressure manometers. Compressed air is used as the test medium. The CETA test devices can be used to measure leak rates down to 10-3 mbar*l/s (depending on the size of the test volume) and flow rates from 3 ml/min. to 200 l/min.

CETA not only offers test devices, but also the right accessories to implement the test concept in a test bench. After all, there is a lot to consider when it comes to leak and flow testing.

The test stand integrated into the production process is connected to the product carrier system. As a rule, the product is lifted from the product carrier so that the test can be conducted unaffected by external interferences. The adapters are product-specific. For standard connections, such as M 12 plugs, there are commercially available leak-proof standard adapters that can also be controlled pneumatically. The adapter must be mechanically designed so that no micromovements occur during the measuring phase. Ideally, this is achieved by means of a rigid stop. Suitable material (fittings, measuring line) must be used to connect the adapter to the test device. During the projects, there were always questions about recommendations for suitable accessories. For this reason, products that have proven successful in practice have been listed in a CETA accessories catalogue, which is constantly being updated. This catalogue contains measuring lines, fittings, transition adapters, leak-tight switching valves, digital pressure manometers with data loggers (for pressure monitoring) and filter combinations for cleaning the compressed air.

CETA offers special calibration standards (test leaks, master jets) that are specifically designed for the respective application to check the calibration and for use in measurement series to verify the measuring equipment capability.

With this comprehensive product range, the right testing technology and accessories can be found for practically any testing application.

All test devices, pressure manometers and calibration standards are delivered with an internationally recognised calibration certificate in conformity with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 as standard and at no extra charge. The test devices are supplied with a 3-year warranty (with annual maintenance); an optional prolongation to 5 years is possible.

CETA also has a comprehensive project support program for the customer. This includes preliminary tests to ensure the technical feasibility, engineering studies, workshops, training courses and commissioning.

In the second half of 2024, a three-part series of seminars will be offered as part of the successful online seminar program ‘CETA Digital - From practice, for practice’, especially for special machine builders and internal equipment manufacturers. These seminars will cover what needs to be considered when designing and operating leak and flow test benches.

CETA has been cooperating successfully for several years with GERSTUNG Sondermaschinen GmbH, based in Mönchengladbach, Germany, a specialist in automation with more than 100 years of company history. GERSTUNG is co-exhibitor at the CETA stand at the Motek trade fair. In a test stand designed and manufactured by GERSTUNG, the leak testing of tank fuel caps will be demonstrated in practice with a CETATEST 825 differential pressure leak tester.

At the CETA stand, interested visitors can get information about the complete solutions consisting of test bench and testing technology.

CETA will exhibit at the Motek trade fair in Stuttgart from 08 to 11 October 2024, in hall 5, stand 5304.

CETA Testsysteme GmbH

CETA Testsysteme GmbH - Solution partner for industrial leak and flow testing
CETA Testsysteme GmbH, based in Hilden near Düsseldorf, Germany, was founded in 1988 and has been active for more than 35 years as a manufacturer of physical measurement instruments used in leak tests and flow measurements. Compressed air is used as test medium. This testing procedure is characterised by the fact that it can be integrated in the production line with high process reliability.

The test equipment "Made in Germany" is developed in-house and along with the components and accessories (e.g. calibration standards) are manufactured by CETA. This takes into account the high demands on the quality of the internal modules used. A comprehensive range of test devices means that the right solution can be found for almost any testing application.

Semi-automatic test stands are also offered. The test devices are used by customers for quality assurance, quality control and production assurance. The customers are mainly from the automotive industry, medical technology, heating and air conditioning industry, energy sector, fittings and household appliances industry, packaging industry and e-mobility.

The company is certified according to DIN ISO 9001 and won the Quality Award of North Rhine Westphalia in the industry category in 2002. Since 2012, CETA has been consistently certified with a very good credit rating.

The calibration laboratory was accredited in 2004 by the German Calibration Service (DKD) and in 2014 by the German Accreditation Body (DAkkS) - as the successor to the DKD - as a DAkkS-accredited calibration laboratory. The DAkkS-accredited calibration (compliant with the DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard) meets the requirements of the IATF 16949 standard applicable in the automotive industry.

CETA Testsysteme GmbH is the first German manufacturer of leak testers to deliver its test equipment with DKD- or DAkkS-accredited calibration certificate as standard since 2004. From mid-2024, flow testers as well as pressure manometers and calibration standards will also be supplied with a DAkkS-accredited calibration certificate as standard and at no extra cost on initial delivery.

The comprehensive range of services includes consulting, feasibility studies, commissioning, training, maintenance and calibration.

With cooperation partners in China, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, Thailand, the Czech Republic, Turkey and Hungary and with thousands of test devices in use all over the world, CETA Testsysteme GmbH presents itself as a competent solution partner for industrial leak and flow testing.
