KNOPPIX-LIVE-SYSTEM und ADRIANE auf Cebit

Die Hochschule Kaiserslautern präsentiert Software für Datenrettung und Software für Blinde auf der CeBIT

Das bekannte GNU/Linux Live System bietet für Wissenschaft, Ausbildung, berufliche wie private Nutzung als "Cloud Operating System" eine sichere mobile  Arbeitsplattform mit Verschlüsselung der persönlichen Daten und optional anonymisiertem Zugriff auf Internet-Dienste, sowie Werkzeuge für Datenrettung und Datensicherung. Ein besonderes Highlight in diesem Jahr sind die integrierten Open Source-Programme zur Erstellung von 3D-Prototypen und 3D-Druck.

Das in KNOPPIX integrierte "Audio Desktop Reference Implementation And Networking Environment" ADRIANE bietet Zugang zu Internetdiensten, Texterkennung, Sprachausgabe sowie die Nutzung vieler Linux-Programme mit einer barrierearmen Oberfläche, die für blinde Computernutzer optimiert ist. Besucher können sich über die Möglichkeiten informieren, GNU/Linux als barrierefreien Arbeitsplatz beruflich wie privat einzusetzen, und die Arbeitsweise blinder Computeranwender sowie frei verfügbare, softwareseitige Hilfsmittel kennen lernen.

Besucher können sich die neusten Entwicklungen der beiden Debian-basierten Live-Systeme vorführen lassen, die Sicherheits-Features im Umgang mit Netzwerken begutachten und sich auf Wunsch einen mitgebrachten USB-Stick (mindestens 8GB) mit der aktuellen Version von KNOPPIX oder ADRIANE "betanken" lassen.
