- New: Now with double codification for trailers without drop sides
- More space and flexibility due to the height-adjustable body
The Kögel Cargo Rail scores points with its well-known advantages, such as low maintenance costs, high-quality manufacturing and a chassis frame reinforced for multi-modal transport. The Kögel Cargo Rail has thus been designed for flexible loading on the most prevalent rail pocket wagons. A modular system also makes it possible to use the familiar variable body from the Kögel FlexiUse with the Cargo Rail. As with all Kögel vehicles, the entire vehicle frame on the Kögel Cargo Rail has long-term corrosion protection, thanks to its nano cathodic dip-paint coating and final coat of paint.
Variable body for a wide range of applications
The body of the Transmec semi-trailers includes 12 front settings, each adjustable by 25 mm, and four rear settings, each adjustable by 50 mm. This means that the body heights can be independently adjusted by 300 mm at the front and 200 mm at the rear. This allows everyday goods transport with an internal height of 2,700 mm to 2,800 mm at the front and 2,600 mm to 2,800 mm at the rear. The closing support bow on the roof ensures that the aluminium back wall portal double door with optimised door seal, which is a standard fitting for the Cargo with FlexiUse body, is adjusted to the respective body height. The body naturally meets the body stability standards of DIN EN 12642 Code XL, making any additional load-securing unnecessary for form-fitted loads.
New double codification
The FlexiUse body permits the issue and attachment of two rail codifications in Kögel curtain-siders without drop sides. Either the P385 codification for a maximum internal height of 2,650 mm or the P395 codification with a maximum internal height of 2,750 mm applies, depending on the set body height. The semi-trailers can therefore be used on a wide variety of railway lines.
Further individual equipment for Transmec
If required, trailers for unaccompanied boat and ferry transport feature optional RoRo equipment with an 8 mm thick closed slide plate, four pairs of heavy-duty lashing rings with 12,000 kilograms of test force as well as signage in accordance with DIN EN 29367-2. The floor load-bearing capacity is designed to withstand high fork-lift axle loads of up to 8,000 kilograms. For optimal load-securing, the VarioFix perforated steel external frame is equipped with 13 pairs of lashing rings, each ring affording 2,000 kg of tensile force. 16 pairs of lashing straps are securely pre-installed on the external frame. To protect the interior of the front wall from damage during everyday use, it has been fitted with a steel sheet with a thickness of 2 mm and a height of 2,500 mm. The rear of the trailers is also equipped with a protective bumper section above the door latches across the entire trailer width, which has been adapted for the Italian market. In addition, the semi-trailers are fitted with a lateral sliding tarpaulin in an anti-vandal execution and 21 vertical aluminium lattices per side. Additional special equipment includes a steel light carrier, an ADR adapter box, a fire extinguisher and more.
